UPDATE 9/10/15

(Continuing Health Care Plan...a painting I did for my prostate surgeon. Alan Arkin as Sigmund Freud.)
It was fifty years ago this year that I graduated from St. Fred's High and this weekend my former classmates are getting together in Pontiac Michigan to see how much trouble senior citizens can get into. I'll be there in spirit and hope that you all have a wonder time. Go Rams!

This weekend for all of you in the Southern California area I will be attending the Long Beach Comiccon at the

Long Beach Convention Center
300 S. Ocean Blvd.
Long Beach, CA 90802

September 12, 2015 at 9:30 AM - Sunday, September 13, 2015 at 9:30 AM (PDT)

You can find me in Artist Alley at booth Y3. I'll be selling artwork and doing sketches on consignment like the Barbarella and Princess Leia above. Feel free to stop by and chat and get books
signed...it's always great to see folks who are fans of your work.

The cover for Mad Mummy #8 is finally finished. I can't remember when I've worked harder on a piece of black and white art. Perhaps because the idea was so complicated it was difficult to get all the characters to work in the composition. Some were certain booted out and replaced with new poses. The backddrop is a Frank Lloyd Wright design that I thought would be the perfect bit of tangle and confusion for Adam's latest dilemma: dealing with Ankesenamun through all of her reincarnations. Immortality is tough on a guy...especially when he's fixated on one woman.

Also in this issue will be a preview of The Wig, a new strip done by two of my former assistants, Henry Cram and Scott Gordon and their friend Alfred Jagels. You're going to enjoy this one...a creation by a group of very talented folks.

And last but not least are a small painting of  Scary Kate Hepburn and another of my feline friends.

More next week,
Best,
Mike Vosburg
